In its weather forecast for Asturias today, Friday 31 July 2026, the AEMET forecasts cloudy skies with an extensive layer of low cloud. Light rain is likely throughout the day. Minimum temperatures will remain virtually unchanged; maximum temperatures will fall slightly in the mountains, particularly on the peaks and eastern slopes, with no significant changes in the rest of the region. Winds will blow from the east and north-east, light inland and moderate on the coast.
As for temperatures in the region’s main cities, Oviedo will see a minimum of 18 degrees and a maximum of 23; in Gijón, temperatures will range from a minimum of 20 to a maximum of 25; and in Avilés, from a minimum of 20 to a maximum of 24.
At sea, westerly or north-westerly winds of force two to four will blow, easing in the afternoon to northerly winds of force two or three. The swell will be slight and will gradually diminish to a light ripple or gentle swell. Scattered showers are expected in the morning.
