Asimismo, ha destacado la vocaci\u00f3n divulgativa y educativa del proyecto expositivo, que presta especial atenci\u00f3n al p\u00fablico infantil y familiar.<\/p>\n<p>El centro alberga los ejemplares y piezas m\u00e1s representativas de la colecci\u00f3n de la Coordinadora para el Estudio de las Especies Marinas (Cepesma), que est\u00e1n bajo custodia del ayuntamiento valdesano. La exposici\u00f3n incluye seis ejemplares de calamar gigante, 35 de otros cefal\u00f3podos del mundo, una docena de peces de profundidad y seis muestras de huesos de cet\u00e1ceos.<\/p>\n<p>La muestra se distribuye en nueve zonas y pretende recrear el ambiente de las profundidades oce\u00e1nicas, para lo que se utilizan sonidos, escenograf\u00eda y recursos interactivos encaminados a facilitar la participaci\u00f3n y el aprendizaje. Los contenidos divulgan la anatom\u00eda y las capacidades adaptativas de las criaturas que habitan las aguas profundas, as\u00ed como sus funciones como especies paraguas para la conservaci\u00f3n de los oc\u00e9anos. El proyecto museogr\u00e1fico tambi\u00e9n pretende dar a conocer los ca\u00f1ones submarinos de Asturias como h\u00e1bitat de gran valor ecol\u00f3gico.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de la exposici\u00f3n de los ejemplares marinos y los paneles informativos, el museo incorpora recursos interactivos, como una pantalla t\u00e1ctil que simula la inmersi\u00f3n en la columna de agua marina para que el usuario vaya encontrando elementos de la biodiversidad marina como embarcaciones, pecios, etc\u00e9tera.
